Research Focus:

The research focus of the institute is evidence synthesis, Health Technology Assessment, methodology research in clinical epidemiology, and data analysis of large scale observational data.

Cooperation and Networking:

CEB has national collaborations with the Swiss HIV Cohort Study and the Swiss Transplant Cohort Study. CEB collaborates with and participates in the European HIV Network Eurocoord, the Swiss Network for Health Technology Assessment (SNHTA), European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA), the Translational Research on Antimicrobial resistance and community-acquired infections in Europe network (TRACE), The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) Working Group, and the Evidence based Medicine Working group and the REporting of studies Conducted using Observational Routinely-collected Data (RECORD) collaboration.

CEB has continuous international collaborations with German Cochrane Center Freiburg i. Br., University College London (UCL) UK, Erasmus University Rotterdam NL, McMaster University, Hamilton Canada, Stanford University, USA, and Primary Care and Population Sciences Academic Unit, University of Southampton UK. CEB has national collaborations with the Institutes of Social and Preventive Medicine of the Universities of Bern, Lausanne and Zurich.
